Physical: Projectable, strong 6-foot-2, 210lb frame with durability found in the movements on the bump. Siena commit.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle/left side of the rubber with a short, subtle rocker step into a balanced, moderate leg lift to waist height. Got down the slope with polish and connection in the actions, landing in line and firing with good sequencing at a H ¾ release. The FB ranged from 83-85 mph with heavy play into the bottom of the zone at a higher release height (1967rpms average, 52% zone rate). Mixed a sharp 71-73 mph CB in advantage counts for strikeouts at 2304rpms and -14 inches average IVB (downer) that he leveraged, later adding a good 76-79 mph CH that faded hard to the arm-side. Solid command of two, sometimes three pitches and attacked with confidence from the opening.
3/27/21
Physical: Strong, durable frame at 6-foot-2, 210 lbs.
Pitching: Controlled pace staring with a short side step before bringing the knee up with a coil, gets into back side as glides down the mound utilizing a strong lower half to accelerate against a strong front side. Arm drops straight down out of the glove before getting up to a clean 3/4 release.
FB: Commands around the zone with some arm side run and the ability to ride it through the top of the zone. CB: High spin (2284 RPM) with plus movement (-17" vertical break, 11" horizontal movement). CH: Good hand speed while killing the spin with arm side fade.
9/11/20
Physical: 6-foot-2, 210 pounds; thick, full frame. 8.14 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Wide stance with high hands, wraps the bat around his head; small lift and replace to initiate a weight shift, hits off a firm front side. Good movements in the lower half, clears his hips on time with fairly level swing path, good barrel speed through the zone. Pulled the ball hard down the line and up the middle, some pop present; peak Trackman exit velocity of 92 MPH. Defensively: Wide feet with low hips, ready to move either way; moves his feet well, getting them set up to turn and throw on the double play. Soft hands that field out in front, funnels and transfer smoothly; long swing out of the glove, exceptional arm speed through the throw. INF - 80 MPH. Pitching: Finds a good balance point before venturing down the mound, throws off a firm front side. Shorter arm action than when he throws from first. Works a stab down out of the glove into a quick flip up into ready position. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 82-85 MPH. Throws a FB with above average spin, giving him some wiggle room in the top of the zone. CB: 71-73 MPH. Flashed a solid curveball with more 12-6 movement, drops it into the zone with ease. SL: 72-73 MPH. The slider has good tilt to it, breaking late in its journey to the plate away from a RHH.
7/06/20

Offensively: RHH. Wide stance with slight bend in the knees and control in the setup. The hands start with the barrel straight up at the shoulder and coupled with a quick lift and replace stride to initiate a short and tight, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff front side with some herky jerky actions in the rhythm at times. Recorded a max of 85 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball during batting practice as well as a top distance of 274 feet on a batted ball.
Defensively: The primary first baseman displayed adequate feel around the bag with a moderately low center of gravity. High ¾ arm-slot played across the diamond with accuracy and whip through release. 1B - 82 mph
Pitching: RHP - High leg lift to create momentum in a deliberate paced delivery out of a high ¾ slot with some whip and length on the arm swing. Fastball worked from 82-84 mph into the zone with heaviness at the knees and a top of 2259 spin per Trackman Baseball. Countered with a sharp 71-73 mph curveball showcasing 11/5 shape and late depth.
