ENY All-Star Game (September 17, 2017)
Athletic 5-foot-11 170 pound middle infielder with easy actions. Offensively- Slightly open setup with a flat barrel to start; controlled load of the hands straight back along with a quiet leg kick and stride back to even. Active lower half; swing path gets on plane early and stays through the zone. Line drive contact from gap-to-gap. Easy effort, repeatable stroke with a 79 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Gliding actions into the ball, clean hands with a quick transfer. No panic release from a low 3/4 slot. Arm strength was 72 MPH, down a couple MPH from previous events. Projects well at 2B at the next level, as arm improves, so will his versatility.
Team Citius Workout (February 25, 2017)

Santarpria stands in at 5-foot-10, 165-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a
7.69 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up slightly open with his feet shoulder width apart. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his hands in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a leg lift into a stride forward while his hands move back and slightly down to get into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting whole frame involved with swing clearing his hips allowing his hands to get through the hitting zone. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with good upward lift barrel action throughout into a high two handed finish. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and pull side during batting practice rounds. Covers the plate well and will get better with continued development and added strength. Recorded an exit velocity of 80 MPH, a 6 MPH improvement from January 2016. Defensively- Shows active footwork getting to the baseball. Has good fielding mechanics getting the glove out in front with a smooth transition from the glove to the throwing hand and has aggressive footwork on throws that sets himself up well towards intended target. Covers ground laterally and is smooth on the run. Recorded a positional player velocity of 74 MPH a 1 MPH improvement from January 2016. Overall a projectable college prospect for the 2019 class.

Long Island Top Prospect (January 16, 2017)

Santarpia, a 2019 right-handed hitting infielder, currently ranked as the 24th best 2019 middle infield prospect, stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 165 pounds, ran a 4.47 from home to first. Offensively- Begins with an open balanced lower half, knees slightly bent, hands held above the back shoulder with the barrel of the bat moving between a parallel and upright position using a pre-pitch wiggle action. Gets to the launch phase of the swing with a lift of the front foot, striding forward and closing up landing on the whole foot, while the hands are loaded straight back slightly outside the back shoulder. Drove the ball mainly from the pull side line to the pull gap during batting practice. Recorded an exit velocity of 74 MPH, which improve if the lead hip could stay closed after the stride foot lands. Defensively-  Pre-pitch hop movement keeping the hands inside the body. Athletic and fluid movements to the ball, fielding the ball in an athletic position with the ball from the center to left of the body. Transfers the ball from the center of the body chest height getting the body into a strong power position with the upper and lower half in sync. Displayed the ability to throw athletically from multiple arm angles with good accuracy. Throws recorded an arm velocity of 73 MPH.
