A.J. Havrilla: 3B/1B, (2023) Canfield, OH. Ohio State Commit, 5-foot-11, 185-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 93 mph. (66.8 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Began in a quiet athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Has an upward swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 83 mph; had soft hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.93.

Fun to watch in the box. Efficient patters throughout sequence and he doesn't get cheated up there, consistently trying to do damage. An above average mover with quality batspeed. Middle of the lineup profile that topped at 96mph off the bat. Corner skill set defensively that continues to progress in the right direction. How lateral mobility/ball skills continue to grow will likely decide future destination.

Began in a balanced athletic stance with a quick controlled load, then used a leg kick. In his round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 82 mph; shows sure hands, smooth feet, and a natural exchange. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.31 in the 60-yard dash. 

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Advanced hit tool for class. Bat tip/leg kick combination create a ton of energy into contact. Got into balls regularly in BP, running both gaps with ease. Big time follow in class that is one of the more explosive 2023s we've come across.

Field: Fluid mover around the bag over at third base. Hands work well. Sure-handed defender who can play at either corner.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Impressive natural tools for class. Ball jumps off the barrel. Like the combination of feel for contact and physicality. Definite hit tool to follow.

Field:In the infield he shows a corner skills et that plays nicely at third base. Athletic actions with above average ball skills for class. Solid defender.

Swing Mechanics: Upright stance with a slight back load to hands during his controlled stride.

Hit: Intent driven swing with obvious physicality. Advanced bat speed for class. Type of swing that makes you double check to make sure the stat sheet has his grad year right as he doesn’t look like your typical 2023. Hit to all fields with top exit velocity of 90.3 in BP.

Power: Chance to hit for real power as he matures and adds loft to stroke.

Offensive Projection: Run Producer.

Run:

Field: In the infield he plays with smoother actions and ball skills on par for class.

Throw: Arm is clean with already respectable strength and more to come with maturity.
