5/31/17
On the mound the southpaw has a slower pace tempo to his low effort delivery. Mechanically sound with loose/clean arm action. Ball comes out of his hand well and he should see easy increases in velocity as he adds strength. Currently sits 76-78 mph with his fastball that showed run to his arm side. Showed confidence in the pitch, consistently challenging hitter with it. Breaking ball was sharp with depth at 63-64 mph. Showed decent feel for the pitch that had a 1/7 shape. Showed the ability to field his position in game.

1/15/17

6-foot, 165-pound prospect. 60-yard dash was a 7.52. Long limbs.  In the outfield he used fluid footwork getting to the baseball and played through it well. Varied between using one and two hands while fielding. Throws were on target for the most part. Threw to home plate with 81 mph arm strength. Starts in a tall setup at the plate. Keeps his hands simple during his small leg lift. Bat has some quickness to it working a downhill path. Worked to the middle/opposite of the field during batting practice. Top exit velocity was 77 mph.  On the mound the southpaw has a slower tempo that picks up prior to release. A drop and drive type pitcher that stays in line to home plate.  Arm works well with above average arm speed, while working through a near over the top slot. Much more velocity to come with maturity. Secondary stuff has a chance to be very good as he improves feel. Changeup has run and sink to it, while maintaining fastball arm speed.  Breaking ball was very sharp with solid depth on a 1/7 plane.
