5-foot-10, 150-pound infielder with small, athletic frame. Projects as second base type. Short arm action through high ¾ arm slot. Accuracy to his throws. Reached a top velocity of 71 mph. Uses a quick exchange. Needs to consistently play through the baseball. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance. Smooth load with a short stride. Good balance through his swing. 2/24/13
5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect with small, athletic build. From behind the plate, he shows quick compact actions. Pop times between 2.20-2.27. Needs to continue improving direction of his footwork. Reached top velocity of 71 mph with accurate throws. In the infield, he projects as a second base type until he develops more arm strength. Good hands with quick transfer. Throws well from all angles. Aggressive to the baseball. Not the quickest athlete, but takes good routes. At the plate, he starts with slightly open stance and uses a short stride. Rotational type mechanics, but needs to improve use of lower half. Takes level path to the ball. Line drive type production. On the mound, the small righty shows quick arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. He is a strike thrower. Fastball sat in the mid 70’s and reached up to 79 mph with some run to it. Curveball shows some bite at 67-68 mph and changeup has similar movement to his fastball at 74 mph.
1/21/13
5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect with smallish, athletic build. Registered an 8.1 60-yard dash. Has good infield actions with hands and feet. Shows decent arm strength (70 mph) from all angles Hits from the right side with an open stance, triggers hands from chest. which creates flat bat path. Hand finish is good, but needs more consistent lower half torque.
2/18/12
5-foot-6, 135-pound prospect with small, thin frame. He registered a 6.01 40-yard dash. He has plenty of time to grow and mature, but projects as second base type right now. In the infield, he shows 65 mph velocity with long arm action through a high ¾ slot. Behind the plate, his pop times sat 2.16-2.37 and his velocity reached 63 mph. At the plate, he uses a slightly open stance. He has a tendency to bar his front arm, which creates some drag to his swing. Should improve with increased physical strength and minor adjustments. On the mound, he uses quick arm speed while sitting 71-74 mph with arm side run. His curveball shows little movement and sits at 61 mph. His changeup shows similar run to his fastball and sits 62-64 mph.
