Swing Mechanics: Athletic movements that are synced up well.
Hit: Continues to get better/more physical at the plate each time we see him, putting together his best BP performance yet we’ve been in attendance for. Continues to look the part of a true switch guy that can use the whole field with natural lift.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity. Gap abilities from both sides of the plate with the ability to occasionally leave the yard.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer Potential.
Run: 4.32 H-1st.
Field: Production over flash in the infield. Well coached with the ability to maintain rhythm through efficient angles. Ball skills and arm play at all three spots but lean to the left side.
Throw: 77 mph arm strength across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: Left side of infield.
Additional Comments: Love the fit at Sinclair. Both parties are going to benefit from his 1 to 2 years there.
6/5/18 Cavey improved his stock with a strong performance at this event. A true switch hitter that generates solid energy into contact from both sides. Offers a balanced offering of strength and bat speed through the zone with a nice level stroke. A line drive hitter with sneaky pop. In the infield he has a middle skill set with above average ball skills. What level he ends up at likely will determine which side of the inifeld he calls home. 60-yard dash: 7.04 Infield Velocity: 79 Exit Velocity: R89, L86

A switch-hitter that the plate. Almost a mirror image mechanically from both sides with a bit more polish and burst from the right. Movements are efficient and well timed as he flows through his load into swing decision. Strength stands out at contact with bat speed not being far behind. Recorded an impressive, 96 mph exit velocity. Also was one of the top performers in the infield. Solid prospect who’s all-around versatility should play nicely in a college lineup.
Infield Velocity: 82
Exit Velocity: R96, L89
6/6/17 A switch hitter that starts in a balanced setup from the right side. Lower half is simple and stays under control. Barrel starts vertical before getting through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Has feel for the barrel and looks like a top of the lineup type of guy. From the left side he showed a more aggressive approach, swinging with the intent. Path is level and natural tools are louder from the left-side. Has the look of the three hole guy. All in all looks like a true switch hitter that is further along from the left-side. In the infield he has athleticism to his actions with impressive glove skills. Has the skill set to stay in the middle at the next level. How arm strength and lateral mobility develop will likely determine which side. 60-yard dash: 7.36 Infield Velocity: 78 Exit Velocity: R87 L86
2/9/17 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect. A switch hitter at the plate. From the right side he showed very impressive bat speed on a level path. Creates efficient energy with his lower half. Consistently drove balls with authority in batting practice, producing consistent backspin on his line drives. Showed flashes of power potential. From the left side he uses a similar approach mechanically. Path is slightly more downhill from the left side. Maintains bat speed and showed impressive pop. Looks more advanced from the right-side at this stage but looks to be a true switch hitter. Was also very impressive in the infield. Mechanically sound with confident, athletic actions. Glove skills are there. Has a quick first step on plays outside of his funnel and is able to keep his actions on the move.
6/13/16 5-foot-10, 145-pound athletic frame. A talented, switch-hitting prospect in the 2019 class. From the left side he uses a toe turn to get his lower half started while taking his hands back. Has some fluidity to his load. Above average batspeed through the zone with a compact swing. From the right side he has similar mechanics except he gets his foot off the ground during his load. Was able to produce consistent line drives in batting practice. At this point he looks to be advanced enough from both sides to have a chance to be a legit switch hitter at the next level. Registered an 83 mph exit velocity from both sides and ran a 4.8 down the line. A solid infielder with efficient footwork and above average hands. Will need to work on lateral quickness if he wants to stay at the shortstop position. Threw across the infield with 68 mph arm strength.
7/28/15 5-foot-6, 124-pound athletic build. Switch hitter that is more advanced from the left side. Right handed he is spread out and balanced with a little load. Left handed he has same set up with better load and flat path. Registered top exit velocity of 70 mph from both sides and ran a 4.64 home to first. In the infield he shows advanced skills for his age. Fields the ball into his body with a good transfer. Throws from a loose, high-3/4 slot with 68 mph arm strength across the diamond.
9/29/19 Swing Mechanics:Switch hitter that uses similar movements from both sides of the plate and has the same lofty path. Hit:Contact type bat who can spray it around the yard. Fights to stay inside the baseball. More natural ball flight when working middle back. Power:Line drive pop with comparable juice from both sides of the dish. Offensive Projection:Table Setter. Run: 6.98 Field: Solid defender. Quick feet with above average the ball skills. Sure-handed guy out there. Will make the routine play about everytime and has the natural ability to make the “flashy” play as well. Throw: Average arm strength with natural accuracy. Defensive Projection:3B/2B.
