Carter Rees: RHP/3B, (2021) Benjamin Logan, OH. 6-foot-3, 188-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 92 mph.Begins in a tall athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed was quick, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 83 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.98. Solid on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 85-89 mph. He threw a 11/5 curveball (68-69). He shows fading action on his changeup (74-76).
Scouting Notes: Obvious upside on the mound. 6-foot-4, long lever type who gets down the mound well. Fastball works downhill with late life in the zone. Complements the heater with a sharp breaking ball. Up to 85 mph with all the signs of more to come.

Scouting Notes:One of the top arms of the event. Long-lever righty who comes straight downhill at hitters. Fastball is high spin at 2300rpm with mid 80s velo. Could easily see that being higher depending on when you catch him. Complements the fastball with an up and down breaker with later bite. Limited viewing on the changeup but it appears to be above average and he showed feel for it. Talented arm.

Delivery Notes: The 6-foot-3 right-hander look the part on the bump, long lever type who creates easy energy down the mound, utilizes lower half well, long back arm action through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 80-83 mph, mostly true through the zone, don’t be shocked if there’s more velocity in the tank.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1900-2100.
Curveball: 67-68 mph, above average offering, spins it well, 11/5 plane.
Curveball Spin Rate: 2000-2200.
Changeup: 69-71 mph true change that has later fade, also offering a knuckle at 64-65 mph with dance to it.
2/10/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-1 192-pound prospect with long levers and a projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a downhill plane and minimal use of his lower half.
Fastball: 78-82 mph fastball showed some sink and fade with some arm side run at times.
Breaking Ball: 68 mph breaking ball showed decent shape and spin. Good depth and potential for the pitch.
Changeup: 68-72 mph changeup had some tumble and a little depth.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his three pitch mix.
Role: Would fit as a starter at the high school level with solid velocity and a quality breaking ball. At the next level would probably find a better fit as a bullpen arm.

Body Type: 6-foot-1 192-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a wide setup and utilizes a toe tap load. Shows a casting of his barrel around the zone and could improve his balance throughout his swing.
Hit: Average bat to ball ability.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows a good, physical frame for a 2021. Decent pop to the bat. Could be a guy who develops some gap power. Swing may limit his ability to drive balls.
Field: In the infield he showed an average release and could improve his angles through the ball and his overall footwork.
Throw: 79 mph across the diamond.
Run: 4.63 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Doesn’t presently show the raw arm strength to project as a 3B type at the next level but shows adequate athleticism to potentially slide over to 2B.
