Physically imposing presence on the mound at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Delivery works well with feel for his patterns, lower effort release, and the ability to repeat. Paired a low to mid 80s fastball with a heavy, mid 70s breaker. Quality stuff at present with much more to come as he continues to develop.
Caden Goodwin: RHP/1B, (2022) Jackson, OH. 6-foot-3, 200-pound. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with quick arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Threw his fastball 81-85 mph. Shows running action. He shows cutting action on his curveball (75-77). He has fading action on his changeup (73-75).
Caden Goodwin: RHP/1B, (2022) Jackson, OH. 6-foot-3, 210-pound physical frame. Projectable on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Has an athletic balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Changeup (75-78 mph), slider (73-75 mph).Sat with his fastball at 83-85 mph.
Scouting Notes: Definitely a guy to follow here. Clean, easy delivery that he can repeat. Arm works well. Also spun an above average breaking ball often with good feel for it. A guy who will add velo as physical maturation takes its course.
Fastball: 78-80mph.

Delivery Notes: Tall athletic build with a high ¾ slot with long arm action and high leg lift.
Fastball: Comes in with zip and occasional arm side run at 79-82mph at an above average spin rate making it hard to track the ball as a hitter.
Fastball Spin Rate: 2024-2182
Curveball: sharp 12/6 action with above average depth that will get hitters to bite coming in at 67-72mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1863-1984
Changeup: Uses fastball arm speed and presents a little fade/tail 72-75mph
Body Type: 6-foot, 160-pound projectable from with good athleticism
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: The tall righty pitching prospect utilizes a high led kick into a tall and fall drive motion to the plate. Works with a quick tempo but controlled energy through his delivery. Quick arm action through a near ¾ slot release.
Fastball: 76-80mph. More velo to come from frame. 1600-1800 rpms with high spin efficiency in the upper 90s. The high spin efficiency makes for good command and a fastball that stays true through the zone with a heavy look.
Curveball: 68-71mph. Average secondary offering with some potential to development. The breaker offers a good change in velo, and breaks at an 11/5 path with a bigger shape and gradual break.
Pitchability: With more frame to come, expect this prospect to continue to develop offspeed and grow his velo. Above average for his class.

2/3/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 160 pounds with a long frame with room to fill out. Projectable pitchers frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Simple mechanics that allows to repeat delivery. Long arm action through a high 3/4 slot. Whippy-like arm action. Creates a downhill type feel with his pitches.
Fastball: Pitch stays true to the plate at 74-76 mph.
Curveball: Shows strong signs of an out pitch. Changes planes late in the zone. 68-70 mph.
Changeup: Uses near fastball arm speed while sitting between 70-71 mph.
3/11/18
Long limbed frame with a ton of room to add strength. Delivery is fluid without requiring much effort. Arm is very loose with above average strength and arm speed for class. Fastball comes through a high-¾ slot sitting 68-70 mph. Showed signs of a future high velocity guy down the road. Breaking ball shows tight, two-plane action at 61-64 mph. Changeup was impressive when in the zone. Maintains arm speed on the offering that has run and dive at 62-63 mph. An arm to follow as he matures and take impending velocity jump.
