2/20/16

On the mound, the long, thin right hander shows quickness in arm speed. Works through a high ¾ slot and will continue to develop as he implements lower half mechanics. Fastball shows some natural arm-side movement as this pitch sits between 80-82 mph. His 71-74 mph breaking ball offers tight, sharp break through an 11/5 plane. Also mixes in a 73-76 mph changeup that shows some life fading arm-side run. In the box he displayed a swing that had some batspeed and was able to consistently find the barrel in batting practice. Tends to keep weight on back leg at contact and would really benefit from transferring that weight on to his front side. Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph. In the outfield he showed good footwork with the ability to play through the ball. From a high-¾ slot he threw with impressive, 85 mph arm strength to home plate. Ran a 4.59 from home to first.

1/24/16
5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic build. At the plate, he uses a brief leg kick load to start his swing. Swings on an even plane through the zone, recorded a top exit velocity of 79 mph. From the outfield, he shows good footwork on his approach, but could better utilize a crow-hop for more momentum. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 84 mph strength from the outfield and 71 mph strength in the infield. On the mound, he shows decent direction to the plate, but has a tendency to fall off toward first base. He follows through landing square. Throws with a high ¾ slot with quick arm speed and some effort in his delivery. Three pitch mix with the fastball sitting 79-81 mph. Curveball sits 71-73 mph with sharp break on an 11/5 plane. Changeup sits 73-76 mph with near fastball arm speed.

7/29/14
5-foot-10, 145-pound thin build. From the infield, he has a tendency to play from his heels, and can benefit by being more aggressive and playing through the baseball with balls hit at him. Uses a ¾ slot throwing with 78 mph arm strength. Offensively, he starts from a tall set up, uses a smooth hands back to shoulder trigger, could use lower half more consistently, contact type hitter that reached a top exit velocity of 75 mph and ran a 4.26 down the line. On the mound he uses a repeatable delivery with a straight up and down leg lift. He uses a short arm action with regular effort, with quick armspeed. His fastball was between 78-79 mph. Has a good feel for his curveball which is a good pitch, its thrown with 11/5 tilt and has good sharp late break at 67-69 mph. Changeup is thrown using fastball armspeed at 73-74 mph with tailing movement.
