2/03/19

Body Type: 6-foot-2 200-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics:
Uses a toe tap load to initiate his swing. Slightly casts his barrel with a flat bat path but still showed decent barrel control. Finishes his swing very balanced and under control.
Hit:
Solid bat to ball ability. More of a line drive, pull approach presently.
Power:
Exit velocity of 92 mph.
Offensive Projection:
Showed above average raw power for his class with an exit velocity of 92 mph. Would like to see his swing a little more dynamic and get the barrel through the zone more efficiently to maximize his raw power.
Run:
6.87 60 yard dash
Field:
Showed decent footwork and angles to the ball. Waits on the ball a bit too much rather than attacking the ball. Had slower than desired release but his throws showed good carry.
Throw:
80 mph across the diamond.
Defensive Projection:
TBD. Very good athlete with ball skills. Could play multiple positions on the baseball field with a chance to stick up the middle.

2/04/18

6-foot-2, 190 pound infielder with a physical frame for his age. Displayed soft hands and smooth actions defensively. Burick showed good arm strength at 76 mph with throws on a line across the diamond. Showed athleticism in his footwork getting to the ball quickly and getting to a good throwing position. Offensively has a good load getting to a strong attack position. Maintains a level bat path getting on plane early and staying on pitches. Takes excellent positive momentum into his swing. Produced exit velocity of 86 mph. Many tools lead to this athlete having a high ceiling.

6/20/17

A righty swinger that starts in a tall setup. Loading sequence is fluid, taking his hands bakc during his short stride. Swing is compact and bat has some quickness to it. Path is downhill and barrel gets in and out of the zone quickly. A talented, you hitter that has well above average juice for his age. Drove a double into the right-center gap during batting practice. An athletic middle infielder that does a nice job with his footwork prior to fielding. Glove skills are advanced for his age. Moves laterally with ease and actions stay on the move. Impressive, young defender.

Home to First: 4.4

Exit Velocity: 85

1/28/17

6-foot-1, 175-pound with young, athletic frame. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance. Front foot is slightly open. Uses small leg kick to initiate and square up his lower half at contact. Hands are short to the ball with some quickness. Top exit velocity of 87 mph off the tee. Ran an impressive 4.39 home to first time out of the box. In the infield, he shows long arm action through ¾ slot. Feet and hands are average at present. Transfer has tendency to get long. Top velocity of 75 mph across the infield.

6/28/16

6-foot-1, 175-pound projectable build. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Had an impressive day at the plate showing the ability to drive the ball deep to both gaps. Uses a fluid hands back load during his short stride forward. Has good rhythm to his swing sequence with obvious batspeed and strength through contact. Reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph. In the infield he has quick footwork with adequate glove skills. Showed quickness to his transfer before throwing across the diamond with 67 mph arm strength. Plays from heels at times. On the mound he works through a high ¾ slot with above average arm speed. Fastball was anywhere from 75-77 mph and he worked down in the zone. Also spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball at 62-63 mph.
