Dominic Brancel: C/OF, (2023) Hawken, OH. 5-foot-10, 185-pound. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 94 mph. (80.37 mph bat speed average). (19.82 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is above average, shows a level uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls during his round. Gap to gap pull side approach. Behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; shows soft hands, athletic in control feet, and a natural clean transfer. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.92-2.01 pop time. Tons of flexibility and clean quiet setup. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag and a compact arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.11.  


One of the top backstops in the state who once again showed a well-rounded skillset. Behind the dish he consistently popped sub 2.0 in a workout setting, showing a big arm and quick transfer abilities. Loose, athletic stroke from the right side. Combination of above average batspeed (75mph), physicality and whip created allow him to generate lower effort pop that can run into the upper 90s off the bat. Middle of the lineup type guy with run producer upside.


Dominic Brancel: C/OF, (2023) Hawken, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound. Advanced at the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 95 mph. Begins in an athletic open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Had quick bat speed. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While catching, throw downs to second were maxed at 76 mph; showed fluid feet, a fluid quick exchange, and soft hands. displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.94-2.01. Had athletic setup. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.08. 


Hit:Continues to raise stock. Loved the combination of fluidit/physicality. Very good mover with an efficient sequence from start to finish. Arguably the top BP we saw. Went yard in game.
Power: Sat around 90mph throughout round with his natural lift playing for regular gap shots w/present ability to leave the yard.
Offensive Projection:Run producer.
Field:Very talented catching prospect who can block/receive with the best of them. Very refined/polished defender.
Throw:Average to above average arm.
Defensive Projection:C.


Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Very fluid/athletic movement sequence. Love the combination of efficiency and electricity to stroke. Change to be a big time bat in class.
Power: Ball jumps all over the yard.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 96 mph
Max BP Distance: 345 ft
Field: High level talent behind the dish. Can block/receive with the best of them in class. One of the top defensive backstops the state has to offer.
Throw: More than serviceable.
Defensive Projection: C.


Body Type: 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic build.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Uses a leg lift load as barrel travels to a vertical launch.
Hit: Loose, whippy stroke that generates solid jump off the barrel. Path has natural loft to it, leading to easy lift of the baseball. Very quick hands through the zone with strength at contact. Can get a bit up hill at times.
Power: Gap abilities with more to come.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field:  Plays fast too and through. Ball skills are ahead of the curve for class. Also worked out behind the dish where he showed an above average skill set across the board. Popped in the low 2's/looked the part behind the dish block/receiving. Good athlete with defensive versatility. 
Throw: Compact arm action with arm speed behind it. Arm is a well above average tool.
Defensive Projection: C/OF.
