2/20/16

Athletically built at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Drew showed well in the infield with good reactions off the bat and athletic footwork getting to the ball. Transfer had quickness to it and he threw across the infield with 80 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced set up and uses a rhythmic leg kick to initiate his lower half. During his stride forward his hands move slightly back before getting the bat through the zone on a level path. Registered a top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 4.09 from home to first. On the mound he uses a quicker tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Using above average arm speed his fastball sat 79-83 mph and was complimented by a big-breaking 59-63 mph curveball. Adding to his arsenal of pitches was a slider that darts across the plate at 62-64 mph and a changeup that had late run/sink at 63-67 mph. Also flashed a knuckle ball with dance to it at 63-64 mph.

2/15/16
6-foot-1, 165-pound athletic build. On the mound, the right hander shows some rhythm in his delivery that requires regular effort. Throws with a long back arm action into a high ¾ slot with average arm speed. Fastball sat 76-81 mph. Curveball sat 60-64 mph with sharp 11/5 break. Changeup sat 66-69 mph. At the plate he does an excellent job of gathering and transferring his weight through a leg kick load and aggressive stride. Hands go slightly back during his stride before firing through the zone on a level path. He was able to consistently square balls up in batting practice and reached an exit velocity of 85 mph. In the infield he has good hands and quick feet but has a tendency to move too quickly. Would like to see him slow the game down and play more under control to take advantage of his glove and athleticism. From a ¾ slot he threw across the diamond with 80 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.64 from home to first.

1/24/16
6-foot-1, 165-pound thin build with room to fill out. At the plate, he starts with a wide, balanced stance. Uses a leg kick load to generate momentum. Swings even through the zone. Registered a top exit velocity of 83 mph. In the infield he shows good range. Shows quick hands fielding the ball. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond. Ran a 4.38 from home to first. On the mound he uses a low ¾ slot while striding across his body to create sink and run to his 77-82 mph fastball. He has an array of off-speed pitches. He uses a slider that darts across the plate at 60-61 to compliment his 64-68 mph curveball at an 10/4 tilt. This allows him to give different movements and looks through the strike zone. He also used a changeup that had run to it at 66-68 mph. He even flashed a knuckleball with some dance at 63-65 mph.

10/4/15
6-foot-1, 160-pound thin athletic build. Uses a wide stance at the plate with minimal load. Short compact swing, projects as a contact hitter. Shows the ability to hit the baseball middle/back side in his round of batting practice. Registered a top exit velocity of 84 mph. In the infield he moves well and shows good athleticism. Best tool is his arm as he throws from a high ¾ arm slot at 80 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.35 60 yard dash. On the mound, he shows smooth rhythm in his delivery. Throws from a short arm action into a high ¾ slot with average arm speed. Three pitch mix with the fastball sitting 78-82 mph. Curveball has gradual 10/4 break at 64-68 mph. Showcases a knuckleball that has good downward action to it at 63-65 mph.
