2/17/18
A physical bat from the right side. Uses a slight back load during his short stride for timing. Swing has room to clean up but natural tools are load. Strength stands out and he shows well above average hand speed through the zone. Ball jumps when he squares it up. Tends to pull off at times. When barrel flows to the middle of the field he created easy lift/backspin. Stands out athletically and has a ton of tools to work with. In the outfield he plays fast, getting to the baseball very quickly. Does a nice job of timing up feet to play through the hop he wants. Ball skills are above average. Could eliminate an extra step between fielding and release. Arm/athleticism plays in left or center at the next level.
Home to First: 4.47
Outfield Velocity: 70
Exit Velocity: 87
1/27/18
6-foot-3, 190 pound right-handed hitter brings good size to the outfield along with some good speed. Hamilton ran a 4.06 home to first time, but could build off that to improve footwork and become quicker. His actions were stiff and needs to play more relaxed, but he displayed good arm strength along with accuracy at 80 mph for his position velocity. Offensively, Harrison hits with most of his weight up front and he needs a more balanced attack position. He created okay separation, but needs more to build up tension and be more explosive which can improve his power output and exit velocity of 83 mph. His hands were fast and his barrel stayed in the zone long, but there is good potential here.
1/15/18
Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash.A right-handed hitter that stands out for his physical, athletic frame. Uses an easy back load during his toe turn timing mechanism. Natural tools are loud through the zone and ball jumps when he finds the barrel. Would like to see him add rhythm to aid in more consistent timing. The type of bat who is a regular gap threat. Registered a top exit velocity of 82 mph. In the outfield he plays fast and creates efficient angles in his approach. Looked confidence in his glove as he played through the baseball. A very good athlete who’s position will likely be determined by how his arm progressive. Presently shows 73 mph arm strength to home plate. - On the mound, the right-hander has a quick to slow tempo in the delivery. Fastball comes out of a near over-the-top slot with regular arm side run at 71-74 MPH. Breaking ball has a true 12/6 shape, at 60-63 MPH with early break. Maintains consistent arm speed on a changeup that has late sink at 65-67 MPH.
1/28/17
6-foot-2, 176-pound projectable frame. The right-hander works through a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. Uses a high lift and loads over his back leg. Good direction down the mound, finishing slightly open at foot contact. The fastball has late run to it sitting 75-77 mph. His breaking ball has 12/6 shape. At 65-67 mph, the pitch has a shorter late break. He also showed a changeup. The pitch has some arm side run and sat 66-67 mph. Starts in a balanced setup at the plate. Uses a no stride/toe turn to incorporate his lower half. Hands move to launch before taking a downhill path to the baseball. Solid strength through contact. Bat speed is above average. Would like to see him get more out of his loading sequence to let his natural tools show in his swing. Has power potential in there. From the outfield, he plays the ball to the outside of his glove foot. Shows length to his footwork. Will be aided as he creates more fluidity and shortens up his steps during his transfer. Throws from high ¾ slot.
