Cain continues his ascention up recruiting boards. Carried a big summer into a standout showing in the showcase portion. Ran a 6.6 laser timed 60-yard dash and sprayed it around the yard well in BP. Considering his feel, efficiency and tools he's a guy you could put pretty much anywhere in lineup.

Ian Cain: 3B/RHP, (2025) Avon, OH. 5-foot-11, 170-pound. (67.8 mph bat speed average). (19.4 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Had efficient bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 77 mph; has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.82.

Began in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Has a simple upward swing plane and efficient bat speed. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 83 mph; has soft hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.69.

Ian Cain: SS/RHP, (2025) Avon, OH. 5-foot-10, 145-pound. At the plate, Cain had a max exit velocity of 91 mph. (63.7 mph bat speed average). (19.8 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Has quick bat speed, simple uphill swing plane and balanced finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 77 mph; showed a natural exchange, soft hands, and consistent feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.78. On the mound, showed developing arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 72-74 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1816; Avg 1711). Had slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (61-63). (Max spin 1796; Avg 1782).

Ian Cain: SS/RHP, (2025) Avon, OH. 5-foot-7, 125-pound. Raw during batting practice, Cain recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Starts in a tall balanced stance with a big load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is average and shows a simple swing plane. Barreled up some balls during the round. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 65 mph; has athletic feet, a natural exchange, and consistent hands. Laterally, his movements were athletic. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.72. Capable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a consistent arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Curveball (57-59 mph), changeup (66-67 mph).Threw his fastball 66-68 mph.
