A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2020 class. Frame is projectable with room to add strength. Arm is long and loose through a high-¾ slot. Delivery requires some effort. Rolls niceley through hip load into stride, creating solid direction down the mound. Fastball showed occasional cut sitting 75-79 mph. Also tossed an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual actions at 63-64 mph.
5/31/17 At the plate he initiates his loading sequence through a leg kick while keeping his hands simple. Stays fluid throughout swing sequence. A contact type guy that has a short, compact swing. His level path allows him to find the barrel often. Uses direct footwork in the infield and plays with confidence. Fields the ball in the middle of his body, showing adequate glove skills. Lateral mobility is above average and glove skills stay on the move. On the mound the right-hander has a slower paced tempo to his delivery that requires some effort. Uses a tall/easy leg lift to get to balance point before his stride forward. Arm action is long back short through with developing arm speed. Works through a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 73-76 mph. Had obvious confidence in his fastball, consistently challenging hitters all day. When he did use a secondary offering it was his 61-63 mph breaking ball. The pitch had an 11/5 shape with gradual break.

12/11/16 A 6-foot-1, 152-pound prospect. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Takes his hands back prior to launch during his toe turn load. Used a middle away approach in batting practice, showing the ability to find the barrel. Bat path is uphill which causes inconsistencies in ball flight. Would be aided by flattening out path to produce more consistent line drives. Reached a top exit velocity of 65 mph. A corner infielder that showed feel for both spots. At third base he threw across the infield with 72 mph arm strength, using a ¾ slot. Showed confidence in his glove and the ability to make plays on the move. At first base he brings above average athleticism to the position. Moves around the bag well. On the mound the righty has a projectable frame with long limbs and room to add solid weight. Uses shorter arm action while working through a high-¾ slot. Fastball currently sits 70-72 mph with more velocity to come. Spins a tight, 64-66 mph slider. Has feel for the pitch. Also mixed in a changeup near fastball arm speed.
