Jacob Beck: 1B/RHP, (2024) Northmont, OH. Adrian College Commit, 6-foot-3, 240-pound. (82.0 mph bat speed average). (22.0 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced strong stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was present, had a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 83 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Showed a consistent arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2003; Avg 1918). His 11/5 curveball showed some action. (Max spin 2075; Avg 2065).

Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has a loose level swing plane, quick bat speed and balanced finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 77 mph; showed a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.91.

Had a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Smooth capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 81 mph; shows soft sure hands, choppy aggressive feet, and a lengthy clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Confident on the mound, used an over-the-top arm angle and a long arm action while showing quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall stretch only type pitcher who uses high effort. Has falling off shoulder and low balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish.  (Max spin 1990; Avg 1948).

Started in a tall narrow stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, displays a short simple swing plane and level good extension on his finish. While catching, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 67 mph. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 82 mph; has a natural lengthy exchange, choppy aggressive feet, and firm developing hands. When fielding he gathers the ball out front. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 67 mph; he had a pop time of 2.16-2.29.
