Calhoun Jr. doesn’t create much separation, but he barreled up several balls in his round with good pop. His exit velo was 81 which can be increased if he can create more tension in his load and relax his grip for the bat to flow more easily through the zone. As an outfielder, he fielded it well, but could improve on getting into a better position to attack the ball and generate more energy into his throws. His velocity from the outfield was 75 mph and there’s more in there as he stopped his momentum after throws. John has plenty of time to work and develop his talents as a 2022 grad.
