Body Type: 5-foot-9, 188-pound average build. Swing Mechanics: Switch hitter with a similar look to him from both sides with small differences in timing trigger with lower half. Looks athletic from both sides. Hit: Natural tools mirror each other from both sides of the plate. Aggressive swinger that has gap abilities and can spray it around the entire field. BP was slightly more put together from the left side. Power: 91.8 mph off the bat in BP. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Field: Improved a ton behind the dish since the last time we saw him. Actions have sped back there and he can block/receive at an above average clip. Throw: Ball comes out well. Has jump out of the hand with present accuracy. Defensive Projection: C.

Body Type: 5-foot-9 185-pound prospect. Swing Mechanics: Switch hitter. From both sides of the plate he shows a toe tap load and strong hands. He keeps his barrel through the zone well and has a balanced finish. Hit: Good bat to ball ability and barrel control. Power: 84 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Showed good ability to spray line drives to all fields from both sides of the plate. Could develop into more of a gap to gap threat if and when he adds strength to help his raw power. Field: 1.96-2.05 pop time. Behind the plate he showed solid footwork and a pretty good exchange. Throws showed good carry. In the infield he showed average feet and took good angles with a good rhythm through the ball. Was a bit too ‘2 handed’ and could quicken up his release. Throw: 73 mph from behind the plate. 80 mph across the diamond. Run: 7.73 60 yard dash. Defensive Projection: Presently would project better behind the plate at the next level, but shows enough athleticism to potentially be a guy who fills in at 2B or a corner OF spot.

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Uses a toe turn for timing as barrel gets to a vertical position at launch. Mirror image from both sides of the plate. Hit: Strength stands out in swing. Has feel for contact from both sides of the plate and ball comes off well. Legit switch hitter. Power: Much more pop than when we saw him last. Drove the ball with authority in BP. Present gap pop with emerging pull side power. Offensive Projection: High average type that should grow into a run producer role. Run: 4.47 home to first. Field: Solid defender behind the dish. A tiny hitch in delivery causes pop times to a bit higher than they should be. Actions look to part in the infield. Smooth defender with above average ball skills. Throw: Arm is an above average tool at both spots. Topped out at 82 mph across the infield. Defensive Projection: C/2B Additional Comments: Young 2020 with smooth actions on both sides of the ball. Just waiting on burst to arrive as he continues to develop physically.

Amaro remains a high follow in the 2020 class. Actions are athletic on both sides of the ball. A true switch hitter who has feel for squaring the baseball up in game. Defensively he receives at a high level and is more than adequate with the glove defensively. Young prospect for his class and stock will continue to rise as he twitches up with maturity.

Very well-rounded prospect in the 2020 class. A true switch hitter that has impressive barrel feel from both sides. Natural tools look identical from either box. Present line drive abilities with flashes of gap pop in there. Behind the dish he looks the part in game. Receiving abilities are advanced for class. Actions are refined on both sides of the ball, just needs to add strength/twitch up. Worth noting he is a year younger than the typical 2020.

At the plate he looks to be a true switch hitter. Similar mechanically from both sides, with more aggression from the left. Path is uphill and he has obvious feel for the barrel. Talented young bat to follow as he fills out physically. Behind the plate he is mechanically sound and looks comfortable. Showed a high baseball IQ and the ability to control the running game. Receiving skills are advanced for his age. Young for his grade, natural tools are still developing.
Advanced switch-hitting skills for his age. Already a Division I follow. Starts from athletic stance. Generates good weight transfer through the baseball with a small leg kick. On this occasion, he displayed a more consistent, repeatable swing from the right side with solid line drive production. But, he showed the same potential from the left side. Only 5-foot-7, 154-pounds at this stage. Doesn’t show any facial hair. Physical growth and development will only add additional power. Versatile prospect that shows several advanced tools at a young age. As a catcher, he showed exceptionally quick hands. His transfer and exchange his advanced for his age. Really gets rid of the baseball making up for present arm strength (top velocity of 67 mph from the crouch. Throws were accurate and around the bag with pop times ranging between 2.31 to 2.38. In the infield, he displayed a very quick glove and soft hands. Smooth during his exchange and a quick release on throws across the diamond with a top velocity of 71 mph.
