Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, used a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 91 mph;had quick footwork, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.02. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2160; Avg 1984). Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball. (Max spin 2350; Avg 2350).
