8/6/17

The left-handed pitching prospect brings a tall, projectable build to the bump. The prospect offers a slow tempo pace to his delivery. Works into a waist high leg kick as he creates energy from his back hip. Tall and fall delivery from a ¾ slot. Front foot lands slightly closed from the plate, delivery carries him towards the third base line. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. More velocity to come. Currently sits in the high 70s to low 80s. Spins a tight, 1/7 shaped breaking ball. The pitch has some depth to it and does enough to miss barrels. Also showed a playable changeup. Maintains fastball arm speed on the pitch that has some late run and dive to it.

5/31/17
A very projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 155-pounds. On the mound the southpaw shows all the signs of a prospect who’s best day are ahead of him. Arm is loose with well above average arm speed. Any added strength should translate to added velocity. Currently sits 79-81 mph with the fastball. Curveball was very impressive. The offering showed big break on a 1/7 plane at 66-67 mph. Changeup has a fastball look to it before showing late fade at 71-72 mph. Reardon has feel for all three of his pitches and was consistently in the zone. Very impressive showing.

1/28/17
6-foot-1, 155-pound projectable frame. With room to develop physically the southpaw uses a compact delivery with a slow tempo. Works through a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. He threw all of his pitches for strikes. The fastball has cutting action sitting 73-76 mph. His changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed, sitting 65-67 mph with some cut. At 62-63 mph, the curveball has some depth on a 1/7 tilt. A lefty swing that starts with his hands at launch point. Uses a short stride to get squared to the pitch. Bat has definite quickness to it as it gets through the zone on a level path. Showed the ability to produce backspin on his line drives to both sides of the field. Ball came off his bat well in batting practice. Has more pop in there as he matures. In the outfield, he consistently fields the ball to his side maintaining momentum through his throws. Limited use of his lower half right now - once incorporated, he will add additional carry and velocity to his throws. Throws from high ¾ slot with short arm action and a clean transfer.

Outfield Velocity: 79
Home to 1st: 4.34
Exit Velocity: 83

2/7/15
5-foot-9, 130-pound skinny, projectable from. From the outfield he does a good job playing through the baseball with a clean exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 71 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses a good load and flat path that stays in the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 68 mph and ran 4.36 home to first. On the mound the southpaw shows a repeatable delivery with little effort. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 66-67 mph with some cut. Throws a breaking ball at 58-60 mph with good 2/8 tilt and showcased a hard changeup at 63-64 mph with some cut to it.
