Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180-pound very projectable frame. Already has some physicality with more room to add. Could be a beast physically after he spends time in a college weight room. Swing Mechanics: Athletic, simple load that creates consistent timing/energy.
Hit: Hit tool is for real and continues to get better each time we see him. Path plays and he has an impressive combination of feel and burst. Easy pop to all fields with the ability to generate natural backspin. Very professional approach, taking what the pitch gives him. Walked away very impressed with the Buckeye commit at the plat.e
Power: 91 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer who projects to hit for average as well.
Run: 7.08 60-yard dash. Field: Corner frame and skill set. Actions are fluid and ball skills are above average for class. Very solid, reliable defender.
Throw: 90 mph arm strength to home plate. Arm continues to get stronger and now plays as a big tool.
Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield.

Okuley has taken a big jump since last summer. While his swing hasn’t changed much from last year, his frame and strength have improved - and, it shows at the plate. The ball was jumping off his bat in BP with minimal effort. The Ohio State commit creates a large margin for error with his path, allowing him to use the whole field without losing bat speed. His 85 mph exit velocity is nothing to sneeze at but it doesn’t tell the real story of the juice he displays. A cornery type in the outfield that plays with control and fluidity. A good athlete that projects as an above average defender at either spot.
60-yard dash: 7.19
Outfield Velocity: 83

2/19/17 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect with some strength to his frame. Behind the dish, he starts in a balanced stance with his feet shoulder width apart. Obvious quickness in his feet. Clean glove to hand transfer. Uses short arm action with top velocity of 76 mph. Also worked out in the outfield. Projects as a corner outfield type. Charges the ball and fields to the outside of his body. Small crow hop. Top velocity of 79 mph. Offensively, he has more strength and bat speed than 78 mph exit velocity would indicate. Path is flat and the bat gets through the zone quickly. Was at his best when he worked to the middle of the field.
60 Yard Dash: 7.23 Pop Time: 1.89-1.95 Position Velocity: 79 OF, 76 C Exit Velocity: 78
7/26/16 6-foot-1, 165-pound projectable frame. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. At the plate he showed rhythm to his hands back load during his short stride forward. Barrel movement is fluid and efficient, creating whip through the zone. Above average strength through contact with average batspeed. Top exit velocity was 81 mph. In the outfield he has fluid actions and plays through the ball well. Very impressive 81 mph arm strength to home plate.
6/13/16 6-foot, 160-pound athletic projectable frame. Has some tools to work with. Very aggressive approach at the plate. Takes his hands back to remain balanced during his aggressive stride before taking a flat path to the ball. Advanced strength and batspeed for his age. Ball jumped off his bat in batting practice. Registered a top exit velocity of 83 mph with much more in there. Behind the plate he has quickness to his footwork and transfer. A tough kid behind the plate with above average blocking skills. Receiving skills are there for a young catcher but could continue to improve. Pop times ranged from 2.09-2.16 and he threw with 70 mph arm strength to second base. Ran a 4.5 down the line.
