8/04/19

Body Type: 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame.
Hit: One of the top bats in attendance. Athletic prospect with an impressive combination of feel and burst at the plate. Continues to raise stock over the summer. Drove the ball with authority line to line in BP.
Power: Gap abilities with the chance to grow into occasional power. 95.2 off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 4.5 H-1st.
Field: Very reliable defender in the infield. Feet work well with quick hands and an easy release.
Throw: Arm is a well above average tool. Ball jumps out of hand.
Defensive Projection: Multiple skill spots.

6/03/19

Grows on you the more you see him. A 6.78 runner with a hit tool that really plays. Very efficient stroke with above average natural tools. Barrel enters the zone very early, creating a large margin for error in contact. Barrelled everything in BP with above average jump off the bat. As a defender he isn’t flashy but very sure-handed with the athleticism and arm to play multiple positions. Very good baseball player.

5/28/19

Body Type: 6-foot, 187-pound athletic, physical frame. Looks the part.
Swing Mechanics:
Clean, fluid movements that generate balanced and energy.
Hit:
Stays inside the baseball well. Offers a balanced combination of strength and speed to hands. Very efficient swing that runs into contact often, generating natural backpin. Projects as a guy who will hit for average and his fair share of extra base hits.
Power:
Gap to gap pop with potential for occasional power down the road. 90 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection:
Multiple Roles. High on base guy who can drive runners in.
Run:
4.56 H-1st.
Field:
Not a flashy defender but sure-handed with above average ball skills.
Throw:
Above average arm strength with accuracy/carry. 84 mph across the diamond.
Defensive Projection:
Combination of athleticism, ball skills and more than playable arm strength could play at multiple positions. Right now has a 3B/2B look to him.
Additional Comments:
Very solid ball player. Type of guy scouts will need to sit on for a few games but every time we see him he produces. Ball skills are there on both sides of the ball.

2/10/19

Body Type: 6-foot 180-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Uses a toe tap load and has an armbar during the load. Has a slight cast of the barrel with an uphill bat path and a balanced finish.
Hit: Good barrel control and bat to ball ability.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows some natural lift to his swing. Would need to develop more raw power to see the benefits of his natural lift.
Field: In the infield he showed a somewhat slow release but an overall quick arm. Showed average footwork and angles through the ball but pretty good hands.
Throw: 81 mph across the diamond.
Run: 4.33 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Arm strength would make him fit best as a 2B type at the next level.

2/18/18

Slow, deliberate tempo. Small rocker step into big leg kick. Tendency to land closed at foot strike. Throws with long arm action through high ¾ to over the top slot. Fastball is mostly straight at 78-80 mph. Breaking ball has 12/6 movement at 62-64 mph. Tight spin but not consistently in the zone. Showed command of changeup at 73-74 mph. Has some fade to it down in the zone. At shortstop he displayed soft hands and nice ability overall fielding. Showed solid footwork working around the ball well with smooth actions. Nice arm strength with a 78 mph throwing velocity across the diamond. Impressive round of BP. A righty swinger with well above average natural tools for class. Movements are athletic and efficient prior to launch, gets to a balanced position at foot strike, generates natural separation allowing hands to work freely through the zone. Showed a knack for finding the barrel with strength standing out in swing. A present gap threat with signs of raw power in there.

60-yard dash: 7.11
Infield Velocity: 78
Exit Velocity: 83

5/31/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, slightly open stance. Initiates load through a fluid leg kick. Hands stay loose prior to launch. Path is level with impressive strength through contact. Consistently drove the gaps in batting practice, showing power potential to his pull side. Definite young hitter to follow. In the infield he has fluidity to his actions. Glove skills are above average for his age. Glove skills stay on the move. Lateral mobility will need to improve to stay in the middle of the field at the next level. A two-way prospect. On the mound he showed good tempo and the ability to repeat his delivery. Uses long back arm action and work through a high-¾ slot. Fastball comes out of his hand well sitting 76-78 mph. Breaking ball has some sharpness to it working on an 11/5 plane at 59-60 mph. Also showed feel for a 67-68 mph changeup that had similar action to his fastball.

Home to First: 4.47
Infield Velocity: 72
Exit Velocity: 82

1/28/17

At the plate he starts slightly open and gets back to even through a leg kick load and short stride. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the ball. Would like to see him flatten out swing to use the whole field and handle the high pitch more consistently. Crushed pitches down in the zone. Gap to gap pop at this stage. Defensively, he shows good anticipation. Gets his feet moving early. Would like to see him maintain momentum as he shows a tendency to field the ball flat footed when hit straight on. Makes the glove side play. Needs to work on throwing from lower angles when the ball takes him that way and shortening up his transfer. Typically, he throws from a high ¾ slot with long arm action.

IF Velocity: 76
Home to 1st: 4.43
Exit Velocity: 79

3/19/16

5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect. On the mound, he shows good presence for his age. Throws from high ¾ slot. Tendency to cut off his release some. Fastball shows occasional run at 74-77 mph. Breaking ball is soft at 62-64 mph. Good 11/5 movement to the pitch and locates it well. Changeup shows occasional sink at 69-72 mph. In the infield he did a nice job of playing low and showed some softness to his hands. Across the infield, he threw with 67 mph arm strength working through a high-¾ slot. Hits in a tall stance and barrels the ball. Makes hard contact. Registered an exit velocity of 72 mph and ran a 7.48 60-yard dash.
