7/11/18
Defensively rounds off angles when approaching the baseball with soft feet. Constantly fields with his body square to the ball. Short, compact arm through a ¾ slot while producing accurate throws on the bag. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a toe turn for timing showing a slight back load with hands. Strength is apparent through the zone on a level path. Intent driven swing that generates line drives with gap abilities. Pull side tendencies. More pop than frame would suggest, doing damage to pull side a few times in BP.
60-yard dash: 6.69
Infield Velocity: 64
Exit Velocity: 86
2/16/18
A righty swinger that gets things going with a toe turn load. Hands move back prior to accelerating the barrel through the zone on a nice, level path. Bat speed is a well above average tool for class with adequate strength to his hands at contact. A line drive hitter that will work to both gaps. In the outfield he uses short, choppy footwork in his approach. Plays through the baseball with above average ball skills and transitions quickly into his throws. Arm action is short/compact with his quick transfer making arm grade out higher than velocity would indicate.
Outfield Velocity: 73
Exit Velocity: 91
5-foot-5, 160-pound prospect. Starts in a tall setup at the plate. Uses a leg kick and short stride to get efficient use out of his lower half. Hands stay simple before taking a level path to the ball. Produced consistent line drives in batting practice. Registered an exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 4.53 from home to first. Uses aggressive footwork in the outfield and gets to the ball in a timely fashion. Could play through the ball more efficiently. Threw with 70 mph arm strength to home plate.
