8/6/17

On the mound, the right-handed pitching prospect brings a tall, projectable frame. Has a slower paced tempo as he settles into his balanced point. Shows a high leg kick with solid lower half action. Creates solid energy from his lower half back hip drive. Creates torque into a tall and fall delivery. Smooth and loose arm action into a high ¾ delivery. Quick release that and has the ability to hide the ball well. Fastball stays true through the zone, and is located well. Likes to work both corners of the plate. Curveball compliments the fastball well. Breaking ball has solid break with 11/5 action. Changeup works well with his other two offerings, and is still developing. Expect more to come from the prospects frame as he continues to develop his pitches and settle in and around the zone..

6/6/17
A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Works exclusively from the stretch. Uses long back arm action and goes through an over the top slot. Arm speed is above average and arm action is clean for the most part. Fastball works downhill at 81-83 mph. His most effective secondary offering was his 75-78 mph change-up. Showed feel for the pitch that had some fade to it. Still developing feel for his 67-68 mph breaking ball. The pitch works on an 11/5 plane and has gradual break.

5/31/17
A very projectable right-hander with a 6-foot-5 frame and room to fill out. Works exclusively from the stretch on the mound. Arm action is long with some looseness to it and above average arm speed. Four seam sat 82-85 mph and also offers a cutter at 78-81 mph. The cutter had sharp, late movement. Breaking ball has a 11/5 shape at 60-61 mph. The pitch has sharpness to it with good depth. Also flashed a changeup near fastball arm speed. Somewhat raw mechanically at the plate but the natural tools are there. Impressive strength through contact with obvious quickness to his bat. Takes an uphill path to the baseball. Ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel. In the outfield he gets to the ball quickly prior to fielding on his glove hands side. Plays through the ball well and does a decent job of maintaining momentum into his throws. Throws showed carry with above average arm strength.

Exit Velocity: 86

5/31/16
6-foot-4, 173-pound thin build with room to grow. On the mound he shows choppy rhythm with a straight down then out stride. Throws with some effort and average arm speed. Fastball sat 77-80 mph. Curveball sat 65-66 mph with 11/5 tilt. Changeup sat 73-75 mph. At the plate he starts in a wide setup and uses minimal load before his short stride forward. Bat tends to lag through zone. Registered an exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 4.98 from home to first. In the outfield he threw with 82 mph arm strength while working through a high-¾ slot.
