On the mound the southpaw has a smooth tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Drop and drive type guy that lands in line to home plate. Arm is loose with obvious whip to it. Looked much sharper than what he did at TPG. Ball really came out well with his fastball consistently sitting in the low to mid 80s. Spun a very sharp breaking ball on a 1/7 plane. The pitch was effective against righties and lefties. Also showed feel for a changeup that was more than playable. Maintains arm speed on the pitch that had late run and dive. Very dominant, impressive outing.

6/6/17 A left-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Sherrif has a projectable frame and a loose frame. Delivery is smooth and requires little effort. Does a nice job locating his fastball to both sides of the plate. Works off the pitch that sat 80-81 mph. Spins a well above average, 1/7 shaped breaking ball. Sheriff showed the ability to consistently locate the pitch in the zone at 65-66 mph.
2/18/17 A southpaw with a projectable 6-foot-3, 195 pound frame. On the mound Sheriff showed off a fluid tempo to his lower effort delivery. Arm works very well through a near over the top slot. Showed obvious looseness and quickness to his arm. Very mechanically sound any added strength with maturity to translate to added velocity.Fastball was anywhere 80-83 mph with run at times. Spins a sharp, 1/7 shaped breaking with depth at 60-62 mph. Changeup was also a well above average offering. The pitch had late fade, while maintaining fastball arm speed. Definite arm to look out for in the 2018 class.
