Started in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then used a quick stride. Has flashed present bat speed, loose upward swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Behind the plate, throw downs to second were maxed at 78 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a fluid transfer. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.98-2.07 pop time. Some flexibility and calm setup. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.98.

Sam Scharville: C/OF, (2023) Hudson, OH. 5-foot-11, 200-pound. Athletic in the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 92 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled smooth load, then uses a big leg kick. Bat speed is above average and uses a level swing plane. Was able to create some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 87 mph; had a natural exchange, sure hands, and athletic footwork. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 77 mph; has soft hands, athletic feet, and a quick exchange. Displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.93-1.97 pop time. Calm setup with some flexibility. Recorded a time of 7.45 in the 60-yard dash.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a small leg lift timing trigger as hands stay quiet through load and into launch. Compact swing. Quicker than he is strong with his hands but still has much more physical maturation to come. Pull side tendencies in BP.

Offensive Projection: Swing is a bit choppy currently with minimal raw power. Shows some good athleticism so how he develops his swing and adds strength will help him.
Field: 2.13-2.25 pop time. Behind the plate he shows a quick arm with average feet and exchange. Throws had good carry on them. In the outfield he attacks the ball and plays through it well. Could improve footwork and quicken release.
Run: 7.64 60 yard dash.
Defensive Projection: Definitely projects behind as a catcher at the next level shows above average raw ability behind the plate for a 2023.
