2/12/17 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. The Marshall commit is a two-way prospect out of Dublin Jerome HS. Wilson looked mechanically efficient as normal with clean arm action. Once again showed a very impressive 12/6 breaking ball that has swing and miss to it. Velocity was down as he sat 78-80 mph, but we have seen him sit in the mid 80s multiple times and up to 87 mph. Looked much improved with his skill set as a position player. At the plate he brings both strength and bat speed to the table. Swing is compact while working on a slightly downhill path. Showed gap to gap pop, flashing power potential at times during batting practice. In the infield he uses fluid footwork and does a nice job creating angles to play through the baseball efficiently. Has enough arm to stay on the left side of the infield.
