Seth Spooner: RHP/OF, (2023) Columbiana, OH. 6-foot-5, 205-pound. During batting practice, Spooner displayed an exit velocity of 96 mph, 2nd Highest at the event. (72.6 mph bat speed average). (22.4 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Has quick bat speed, uphill simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 87 mph; showed firm hands, consistent feet, and a fluid exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.22. On the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Tall balance point. Sat with his fastball at 85-86 mph. Showed hard action.  Shows slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (72-73).  He had gradual action on his changeup (78-79). Showed a 10/4 slider (71-73) with late tight action.

Seth Spooner: RHP/OF, 2023. Physical athlete with two-way potential. Mid 80s fastball that has late life through the zone while also showing quality secondary. Not surprising that the arm carries well to the outfield and he also is a mid to upper 90s bat with physicality. High follow with a big engine on both size of the ball.

Starts in a tall stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Has above average bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created loud contact during the round. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 84 mph; has consistent hands, a lengthy clean exchange, and rhythmic feet. Used a long arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, curveball (72-75 mph), changeup (76-78 mph). Sat with his fastball at 83-86 mph.
