Billy Adams: SS/2B, (2022) St Ignatius, OH. Ohio Commit, 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Adams best exit velocity was 86 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was quick, displayed an upward swing plane and high finish. Smooth while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 77 mph; has athletic feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.98. 

Prototype top of the order bat. Compact, efficient path that plays to both gaps. Will distribute the ball around the yard/takes what the pitch gives him. Barrel machine that squares up everything with more pop than frame would indicate. Can really pick it up the middle of the infield. Feet are athletic and well timed. Very solid defender.

2/9/20 Position Player Hit: Shows a bigger, backwards weight shift to get into his back hip. Has a relatively flat bat path which could limit his long term power potential but appears to have fairly good bat to ball abilities. Power: 78 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows more of a table setter skill set currently who should be able to spray the ball all around the diamond. Field: In the infield he shows good rhythm and timing while aggressively playing the ball with average feet. Good hands and seems to trust his glove. Throw: 80 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Shows some defensive skills that could keep him in the middle of the diamond but physical tools will need to progress as he matures.

2/2/20 Position Player
Hit: Right-handed hitter with athletic moves that come together well at foot strike. Path plays and he has obvious feel for contact. Continues to get more physical each time we see him. Very solid showing.
Power: Line drive guy with sneaky pop for frame.
Offensive Projection: Top of lineup look to him. 
Field: Checks all the boxes as a defender. Moves well with above average athleticism. Very solid defender.
Throw: Clean arm that gets stronger every time we see it.
Defensive Projection: MIF.

Body Type: 5-foot-5, 130-pound thin, athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Smooth and simple load into his back leg that engages his hands well.
Hit: Good feel in the box with a level bat path that works inside the baseball, and goes to all fields. Talented bat with a knack for finding the barrel.
Power:  Line drive guy right now with more to come. Top exit velocity off the bat was 82 mph in BP.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup.
Field: Very solid defender all around. Plays light on his feet and can time actions well to maintain rhythm. Ball skills are well ahead of the curve for class.
Throw: Clean arm that will add easy velo as he matures physically.
Defensive Projection: MIF. 

Swing Mechanics: Athletic actions that lead to a balanced stroke.
Hit: Efficient stroke with feel for contact. More pop than frame/exit velocity suggest. Showed line drive abilities to both sides of the field.
Power: 77 mph exit velocity.
Run: 7.51 60-yard dash.
Field: In the infield he does a nice job of creating angles to play through the ball with rhythm. Athletic kid with good actions. Looked the part out there.
Throw: 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. Clean arm that could have more strength in there.
Defensive Projection: Middle infield.
Additional Comments: Undersized with underwhelming measurable but gameplay is impressive. Smooth swinger with impressive ball skills in the outfield. Functionally athletic kid whose best days are ahead of him as he hits next wave of physical maturity.

Very solid, well-rounded player. A bit undersized presently but actions are fluid/mechanically sound on both sides of the ball. Second baseman type in the infield that can create angles and maintain rhythm through fielding. Plays through the baseball efficiently with above average ball skills. Simple approach at the plate in loading sequence followed by a compact, slightly downhill path to the baseball. Top of the lineup type bat.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Very efficient, athletic load, Launches from a balanced setup prior to showing a nice, compact stroke through the zone. Twitchy kid with a fast bat, Ball really jumps with much more juice than frame would suggest. Present gap pop with feel for the barrel. In the infield he is an ideal fit for second base. Plays with fluid, showing athletic actions. Feet are well timed and he can handle the short hop. Changes direction with ease and can make plays on the move. Solid, well-rounded ball player.

Adams is a 2022 2B/SS with a smaller, athletic build. Profiles as a second baseman. Displayed awareness around the base and had solid footwork through. He stayed low and played through the baseball. Possess average arm strength presently with a chance to be above average with physical maturity. At the plate the right-handed hitter, has a simple load with a little leg kick to get his weight shifted. He throws his hands through the zone and made solid contact nearly every at bat. Has a short compact swing. Also wreaked havoc on the bases.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Lower half flows through a leg kick timing trigger into a controlled stride. Hands stay quiet prior to accelerating the barrel through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Bat showed whip through the zone with above average strength/speed to his hands. Impressed with the ability to square the ball up to both fields. Talented young bat. Also took a solid round of infield. Inside funnel he showed a reliable glove with a tendency to get flat footed at times. Actions appear much cleaner/athletic on the move where he showed the ability to keep glove skills and toss it across the diamond from multiple arm angles. Solid player.
