Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick flashed, showed a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 72 mph; has soft hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.23.
Donovan Coughlin: 3B/1B, (2022) Clay, OH. 6-foot-2, 205-pound. Solid in the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 92 mph. (64.43 mph bat speed average). (20.28 mph hand speed average). Started in an open stance with a small quick load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is above average, uses a level rotational swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls during the round. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; had soft hands, a natural fluid exchange, and athletic footwork. Had a compact arm action and consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a time of 7.0 in the 60-yard dash.
