A physically advanced 6-foot-3, 195-pound muscular frame with broad shoulders. Works from a smooth, average tempo delivery that he repeats well. Uses a full arm circle, some stiffness on its way through a 3/4 slot. Fastball has some late life at 80-83 mph. Curveball shows 11/5 shape and consistent depth, less arm speed. Split-finger has short, but consistent downward action, 74-77 mph. In the game, showed above average command with all three pitches, giving up no hard contact. Was very sharp early, tired a bit in his second inning of work.

Arm action is full showing some quickness out front. Fastball sits 79-83 mph with some arm-side run Curveball shows 11/5 shape with rolling shape, 67-68 mph. In the game, O’Dell did not allow hard contact in his inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.

On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg lift before gliding to the dish and finishing in line. Arm action is long in the back coming through a high-¾ slot, throwing from behind the baseball with some stiffness. Fastball keeps its plane at 83-84 mph. Slider is short with east-to-west action at 69-71 mph. In the game, did not allow a hit, striking out the first two batters he saw.

Uses a big and smooth load with a moderate leg kick before launching his hands on an uphill path through extension. In BP, shows a gap-to-gap approach with lift and mostly barrels, 87 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.08 second 60. Defensively, shows above average hands with deliberate footwork. Throws with a long arm stroke through a high-¾ slot with some stiffness and some accuracy at 81 mph across the diamond. In the game, went 1-for-3 with a line-drive single to center.
