Rae’s frame and big body establish some presence on the mound, delivery has some rhythm to it, creates downhill tilt with shoulders, works aggressively down the mound, max effort delivery, showed ability to repeat at times, quick arm with a high three-quarter release. Fastball is heavy with arm side run and occasional sink, 83-86 mph, around the zone, curveball proves to be Rae’s best pitch, swing and miss potential, sharp downward action, 1-to-7 shape, thrown with fastball arm speed, changeup is 75-76 mph, arm side run.

8/10/19

Physically mature with present strength at 6-Foot-6, 220-Pound frame, 3/4 slot, quick arm, long arm action, good balance point, easy effort, low front side, closed toe land, kick out front foot to land, fastball 83-85 mph, arm side run in zone, stayed at bottom of zone, curveball had slider shape at times, 68-71 mph, 1-7 shape with slurve action at times, early action with gradual break, fastball arm speed with control, change up 70-73 mph, fastball arm speed, arm side action, late action at plate, feel for pitch.

8-20-17
A physically impressive 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame with some strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a  quiet and slightly open, knock-kneed set-up. Uses a moderate leg lift and small hand-pump load for timing before striding across his body, slightly uphill path with some length. In BP, shows a middle to pull-gap approach with occasional lift, mostly barrels, 83 mph exit velo. Runs a 5.15 Defensively, shows some athleticism around first base, throws are accurate using a quick release from a 3/4 slot, 64 mph. In the game, went 0-for-2 drawing two walks. On the mound, works from an abbreviated wind-up with average tempo, rhythm, and slight recoil in the finish. Arm circle is moderate coming through an over-the-top slot with quickness and some arm speed out front. Fastball sits 71-75 mph with consistent downhill tilt. In the game, Rae was consistently around the zone with very few big misses.

7/17/18
A physically impressive 6-foot-6, 220-pound frame. On the mound, the left-hander works from a controlled delivery with a moderate leg kick before driving down the mound and finishing slightly to the third base side. Arm action is long and fluid in the back coming through a high-¾ slot cleanly. Fastball sits 79-81 mph with some downhill tilt, some strikes. Curveball shows 1/7 shape with slurvy action, mostly strikes. Changeup is thrown in the zone with slight fade at 67-68 with near fastball arm speed.
