A 6-foot-2, 180-pound proportional frame. On the mound, the left-hander works from an abbreviated wind up with a big rocker step bringing hands over his head and using a big leg kick before striding way down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and fluid in the back before coming through an over the top slot with arm speed. Fastball shows some downhill tilt at 80-83 at this event (weeks later Blake was up to 87). Curveball shows some tight spin and late depth with 1/7 shape at 71-73 mph. Changeup shows some fade thrown with fastball arm speed at 70-71 mph. Nearly all strikes with all three pitches. Punched out four of six batters he faced.
