Positional Profile: OF

Body: 5-foot-11, 140-pound lean frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with a narrow stance and athletic posture.  Quick two-tap stride with the lower half with smooth rhythm and balance throughout the swing.  Starts and finishes with a closed stance and stride.  Barrel rests on the shoulder with a high back elbow.  Rotational upper body swing with developing bat speed and hand strength.

Power: 78 mph exit velocity off the tee and 73 mph exit velocity in BP.

Arm: RH.  OF-83 mph.  Over the top arm slot with good hands speed and extension at release with good pull-down.  

Defense: In the outfield does a good job of working behind the ball and catching and throwing in rhythm.  Utilizes a quick shuffle crow hop with good direction of hips and shoulders.  Fields ground balls inside the glove side leg with a developing feel for glove action out in front.

Run: 7.78 runner in the 60.

Arm: Right-handed, low three-quarter release
Hit: Right-hand, relaxed stance, some rhythm to his hands, simple load, shows some feel for the barrel, contact out front, sprays the ball throughout round, exit velocity of 78 mph.
Run: 7.28 second runner in the 60

Gus Harper: SS/RHP, (2022) Perkins Tryon, OK. 5-foot-11, 135-pound slim frame. At the plate, Harper had an exit velocity of 77 mph. Starts in a tall stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was some, and used simple swing plane. Found some barrels during his round. Base hit approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 69 mph; had a developing exchange, soft hands and average footwork. Used a loose arm action and a low ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.13 in the 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, showing some arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed downhill shoulders. Lands square with an upright finish. Sat with his fastball at 73-74 mph; shows around the zone. He showed slight action and control on his 11/5 curveball (66-69). He shows sinking action on his changeup (68-69).
