Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Body: 5-9, 170-pounds. Lean and athletic build with room for added strength and size in the future. Hit: RHH. Open stance with a narrow base and upright posture. Hands get set at shoulder height with a high back elbow and wrapped barrel angle. Strong arm bar posture with the lead arm. Quick weight stack onto the back leg. Quick leg lift stride with the lower half working short and linear through the zone into a firm front leg. Rotational path with the hands through the zone. Pull side approach with a slightly uphill bat path and tries to work the ball up in the air. Heavy rotation around the core and lean back in posture at contact. Shows the ability to get extended to the pull side. Power: 77.42 max exit velocity, averaged 68.53 mph. 255’ max distance. Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. High 3/4 arm slot with a short and quick arm action. Defense: Attacks the ball with active feet and a feel for routes working around the ball. Fields the ball out in front of the body with good glove action and soft hands. Fields the ball on the move well. Clean and quick exchanges out of the glove and smooth rhythm. Run: 7.19 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rocker style footwork around the rubber working to an easy pivot foot with an up tempo pace and rhythm. Works to a mid height balance point. Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the middle of the mound with direction headed towards the plate and a shorter stride length. Hand breaks from the glove quickly at the top of the delivery. Short push off the back foot off the rubber. Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot with a very short arm action. FB: T73.51, 70.03-73.13 mph. Mostly straight shape with some tilting action to the bottom of the zone. T2051, 1911 average rpm. CB: 57.31-58.36 mph. Big shape with early break and some downward depth. T1837, 1735 average rpm.
