Beck continued to see his stock rise in his last start of the year, touching 92 mph multiple times in the first for his biggest velos yet. The fastball jumps on hitters and does not show high end command, but does show consistent control, forcing hitter to move the bat earl and often. The right-hander punched out 10 batters in 5 2/3 innings to bring his total to 146 strikeouts in 77 innings. The he ran into some trouble in the 4th and was forced to go to his 76-79 mph slider multiple times to keep Blanchard out in front.
