OTHERS TO WATCH: SS Connor Beichler (Owasso HS, OK) made a name for himself at the Super 60 and has intrigued scouts with his athleticism. He runs an elite 6.38-second 60-yard dash, has shown 88 mph arm strength across the diamond, and is up to 92 off the tee with wood. Beichler is also an advanced defender at shorstop and could be valuable as a utility player in the professional ranks with the speed to play the outfield. Another high-end athlete from the Sooner State is OF Logan Glass (Mustang HS, OK). Though his swing is still raw, his 6-foot-4, 217-pound right-handed hitter shows consistent power to all fields posting an exit velo of 96 mph. He also shows elite arm strength hitting 100 mph from the outfield and 92 from the mound. Glass also runs a 6.65 60. SS Braylen Wimmer (Yukon HS, OK) has been turning heads this spring, showing easy, athletic actions on defense and hitting well over .400 with 15 doubles, six home runs, and only striking out 15 times on the year. Wimmer has also reported to have posted some recent 60s in the 6.5s and was 18-for-18 on stolen bases. On the mound, two Becks (unrelated) have shown big velocity this spring to go along with long and lean frames. RHP Brenton Beck (Atoka HS, OK) stands 6-foot-3, 195-pounds with broad shoulders. He spent most of the spring sitting 88-91 touching 93 on a few occasions from a low slot. RHP Jace Beck (Blanchard HS, OK) stands 6-foot-7 with long limbs and plenty of room to continue to add size and strength. He slowly ticked up in velo all year touching 92 in his last start in the state championship game.
