6/04/19

Displayed a 5-foot-11, 185-pound stocky frame with feel for his body. The right-handed hitter starts from a square set-up utilizing a slow knee-knock stride to initiate his swing. Hands move from rested on shoulder to straight-up upon load. Took consistent, athletic swings in the box with hips that rotated fluidly through the baseball. A strong-lower half and flat bat-path allowed for a multitude of hard barrels to both gaps. Registered an 85 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 7.31 60-yard dash. The backstop displayed a soft-glove hand while receiving. Pop times varied from 2.12-2.33 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch. A moderate takeaway was followed by a high ¾ arm stroke on the way forward.

5/31/17

A lean 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, athletic, balanced set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a big reverse toe-tap load and a long stride with a flat path through extension. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field, flat/ground ball approach, some barrels, 74 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.57 60. Defensively, with nobody on, receives with his left knee turned in and down, soft hands. Sits low in the crouch with runners on, throws with a typical catcher arm action, 69 mph, 2.13-2.21 showcase pop times, puts every throw on the bag. In the game, was 0-for-2 reaching base safely once.
