Displayed a long 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with some projectability. The right-handed hitter starts with a wide, even stance utilizing a heel-raise to initiate his swing. Demonstrated feel for his hands with a slightly uphill barrel-path through the zone registering a 72 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded an 8.22 60-yard dash. The primary catcher showcased solid receiving skills with a soft glove hand at catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.16-2.26 on accurate 68 mph arm-strength from the crouch. Utilized a repeatable, high ¾ arm-stroke and smooth transfers showing comfortability while throwing. Demonstrated adequate feel while blocking with average recovery skills.

A 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame with room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open stance with rhythm throughout. Uses a smooth rocking load and a flat  bat path through finish, rolling his hands over early at times. In BP, shows a an all fields approach, found a few barrels, 60 mph exit velo.Runs a 5.22 home-to-first. Defensively, shows aggressive actions on the infield, arm is loose and accurate from a 3/4 slot, 71 mph across the diamond. In the game, Byers went 0-for-3.

9-9-18
A quickly developing 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an upright, narrow, open, and relaxed set-up with rhythm throughout. Uses a knee-knock leg kick before dropping his hands and dragging them through a slightly uphill path. In BP, shows an all fields approach with lift to the opposite field and his best barrels going to the pull gap, found a few barrels, 75 mph exit velo. Runs an 8.25 60. Defensively, Byers is developing receiving and blocking skill. Developing accuracy with 70 mph arm strength and showcase pop times of 2.31-2.45.
