Ryan Smith: C/RHP, (2021) Mustang, OK. 6-foot-1, 200-pound proportional frame. During batting practice, the switch hitter showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 92 mph. Began in a crouched stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick before his swing. Bat speed is above average, uses rotational swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. With a pop time of 1.96-2.02, showed off his quick feet and his ability to control the run game from behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 79 mph during throw downs; showed a clean exchange, quick feet and consistent hands. Some flexibility and wide setup.Showed decent accuracy to the base with a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.31 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, had an over-the-top arm angle and a quick arm action with good arm speed. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed strong balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 85-88 mph; has around the zone command and running action. His slider (76-77) has tight action and in the zone command.

A proportional 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishes to the first base side. Arm action is long and loose in the back, coming through an over the top slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt at 76-78 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows consistent fade and depth at 66-67 mph, mostly strikes. Breaking ball flashes tight spin and depth with 11/5 shape at 64-70 mph, a few strikes. 

A proportional 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. Offensively, the switch hitter has similar set-ups from both sides with an open, narrow, and slightly knock-kneed base with some rhythm in his low set hands. In BP, from the left side, Smith shows an all fields approach with lift to the opposite field. From the right side, he  shows a middle to pull and ground approach with some barrels, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.89 second 60. Defensively, catches from a narrow crouch with flexibility in his hips. On throws down, shows methodical footwork with a short arm stroke coming through and over the slot. Shows excellent accuracy, putting four throws in a row on the bag at 68 mph with showcase pop times of 2.2-2.34. 

A durable 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. Offensively, the switch hitter bats from almost identical set-ups with a narrow feet, an upright stance, and slight rhythm in his hands. Uses a controlled and moderate stride before pulling his hands through a flat path from both sides. In BP, from the right side he shows a pull and flat approach, some barrels.  From the left side, Smith shows a middle to opposite field approach with occasional lift, some barrels, 84 mph exit velo.  Runs a 7.89 60.  Defensively, receives from a very narrow and flexible offset base hands are advanced with quiet strength. On throws down, comes out of his stance early showing short footwork and a typical catchers arm stroke and over the top slot with some accuracy at 71 mph and showcase pop times of 2.13-2.31. In the game, went 1-for-2 with a base hit through the right side of the infield.
