Oklahoma recruit. 6-foot-1, 210-pound right-handed pitcher with stocky, strong build. A clean, smooth arm action, high-3/4 slot, above-average effort. Fastball sat 91-92 mph with occasional run. Throws slider with intent at 78-79 mph and showed depth with 10/4 shape. More control than command, going deep into counts, but effective. Highly competitive demeanor on the mound; a recently converted catcher.

The sturdily built 6-foot-1, 210-pound Oklahoma recruit pounded the strike zone early, throwing 16 of his first 20 pitches for strikes through the first two innings. He held his 90-91 fastball velocity throughout his four-inning stint, while shuffling in an effective 77-78 mph slider with late bite for strikes, and got a pair of strikeouts throwing it in on right-handed hitters. In four innings, he struck out four, walked two and yielded two runs and five hits.
