8/19/23

2024 C/1B Brayden Ricketts was one of the most impactful bats at the ProCase and it began with his rounds of BP, consistently lifting the ball to the pullside with loud contact. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-hander hitter followed it up in-game with several hard-hit balls against quality arms. The bat continues to standout every time he takes the field and is no-doubt one of the top 2024 bats in the country still on the board.

8/13/23

‘24 INF/C Brayden Ricketts is one of the more advanced hitters in Ontario’s 2024 class and is still uncommitted. Ricketts continues to be one of the top hitters each time we see him and has the ability to drive the ball against high-level arms. Went 6-for-23 on the week but it was his ability to find the extra-bases that made him a game changer down the stretch with three triples in his final three at-bats. One of the top uncommitted 2024 bats in the entire country and shouldn’t be long until his name is off the board.

8/17/22

Ricketts, a 6-foot, 200-pound catcher was one of the more impressive bats at the ProCase. In the box the swing was smooth with a flat path towards the baseball, looks to catch the ball out front, uses the body well with quick actions in his lower half. Majority of his balls hit were on a line, did not get cheated as Ricketts had one of the best rounds of BP on the day. Has lots of upside behind the plate as he continues to turn heads.

5/12/22

Ricketts, 6-foot, 205-pound, is a strong LHH catcher that looks the part in the box. He impressed at OBJ Scout Day and we were itching to get out to see him hit in game. He shows juice from the left side, with a strong lower half and quick hands through the zone as he looks to do damage when he’s in the box. He shows good rhythm and timing in his approach here hunting a 2-0 FB and rips it into RF for an RBI single. Ricketts should be on college coaches radar’s looking for a LHH catcher.
