2.19.18 A 5-foot-9, 160-pound middle-infielder with room to fill out and get stronger. One of the smoother swings at the New Year Open event, specifically when staying compact, inside the ball and getting full extension. Maury shows good athleticism in the box with an uphill swing path and quick hands through the zone. Gap-to-Gap power is there and the bat speed makes up for the lack of size. Quiet leg kick load, fundamentally sound swings, and gets good separation. On the defensive side, has quick and fluid footwork, good feel for the position, throws have some life and are accurate. Maury shows a great toolset and will only continue to get better as he keeps adding some strength and size to his frame.
4.15.17 The 2019 grad Maury is a middle infielder with sound fundamentals to go along with actions on both sides of the ball. Room to mature physically at 5-foot-8, 150-pounds, Maury displays quick hands to contact from a crouched stance at the plate. Some quick twitch involved with whip through the zone, gap to gap type guy with more of a line drive approach, will use the whole field, best swings were when he stayed extended through contact. Defensively, confident glove with live lower body, feet work well and body is under control, involves lower half well on release, accurate arm across the diamond. Added strength will play a key role in his development, has the actions to be solid all around player. Exit Velocity: 82 INF Velocity: 72
