2024 SS Devan Madore put together one of the better rounds of batting practice at Connorvale Park. He posted a 96.7mph exit velocity, which was the highest of the event. Lived mostly to his pull-side, hit multiple deep fly balls throughout his round, created loft with the swing and swung with intent and to do damage in the box. Madore, a standout at the Northeast Senior Games this summer, has only continued to improve on his game. An uncommitted 2024 who’s game continues to improve.
Physical: 6-2, 170 pounds; Long, wiry build. 7.05 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 94 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; walks into ready position while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH.
