2025 LHP Geoffrey D’Amato put together a good outing on Saturday with a high-spin three-pitch mix with plenty of strikes and swings/misses on several different pitches. Present strength on the mound at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds and the fastball sat 81-83mph with 2410+ rpm average spin. Kept hitters guessing during his outing with the ability to throw the curveball and slider in any count, throwing them for strikes or pounding them down for swings and misses. Tight spin to the curveball at 76mph with more of a horizontal look and there’s heavy sweep to the slider at 74-76mph (2360+ rpm avg.). Quality showing on the mound Saturday from last summer’s Jr. Future Gamer.
6/29/22
Uncommitted 2025 Geoff D’Amato immediately jumps out with a wirey 6-foot-1, 180-pound build. D’Amato’s projectable frame moves well down the mound with quick and loose arm action from a ¾ slot. The young lefty impressed with a fastball that sat 78-80 with some arm-side run and an average of 2456 RPM. D’Amato also flashed a 71-73 slider with sharp action and a 74-75 change up with a bit of fade. He showed off an ability to throw all pitches for strikes with plenty of in-zone misses. An intriguing, young arm to watch as he continues to develop.
