2023 C/3B Jax Arcuri was one of the top defensive catchers at the New Year Open with a quick catch/throw that produced pop-times of 1.98-2.17 and velocity of 71mph. 5-foot-9, 167-pounds and the right-handed hitter looked to the middle/pullside throughout his round of BP. Found the sweet-spot more often than not (66%) and posted a top exit velocity of 85.4mph. Senior catcher from the Bullettproof Prospects who has the tools to catch at the next level.
2023 grad, Arcuri is a 5-foot-4, 120-pound catcher/right-hander for the Bullettproof Prospects. Behind the plate, he worked 2.31-2.57, got off throws from a comfortable slot up to 65. At the plate, it’s a compact swing, he was up to 69 off the tee. On the mound, he worked up to 67, and worked low in the zone. Mixed in a curve in the 57-60 range, and a change 62-63.
