2.19.18 Owen Dobosh is a lanky, 6-foot-2, 2020 grad with room to add more size to his 185-pound frame. Dobosh starts off from an open stance and rotates his hips inward during his load while employing a leg kick. Drove bat through the zone and showed off some gap power to his pull side. Bat path stays flat through the zone with an uppercut in the finish to get some lift on the ball. Showed some athleticism in the infield. The footwork and fluidity needs to improve, but the arm works cleanly with good carry on the throws. Dobosh is an interesting 2020 who has the tools and the frame to make further strides forward as he enters the summer.
10.22.17 Dobosh is a good looking 2020 grad with size and athleticism to his game at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Ran a 7.25 sixty which should get quicker as he gets stronger and loosens up his strides and form. At the plate, hits from the right side with strength in his swing. Hands are back and incorporates a medium leg kick, worked mostly to pull side with some bat speed and got into some balls that went deep in left-centre gap, showed some barrel awareness as he moved it around the zone. Exit velocity was 86 mph. Moved around the infield well and showed he could pick it going both ways. Arm was short and was able to get rid of the ball quickly and throw from different angles. Good looking young prospect who will be a very intriguing follow heading into the 2018 season. One to stay on for college coaches looking for early commits.
