3.11.18 - Does a lot of things right, including the small things that make a difference. Athletic frame, room to get stronger, hands work well to contact with not much swing and miss. Can count on him to work whole field with line drive approach. Defensively, makes plays with body control and soft hands, can play all three spots in the infield. Heads up player who can help any team at the next level, nothing really plus with the tools but type of guy who gets it done between the lines. 

Johnston is a 5-foot-11, 150-pound middle infielder. He has good instincts and quickness. His hands are soft and he positions himself well. Arm works and shows some carry. At the plate, he has a solid line drive approach, keeps his hands inside the ball and produces hard contact all while staying short to the ball.
