2022 catcher, Whitaker, is a member of the Ontario Blue Jays. Behind the plate, he impressed with an athletic set-up, sound footwork, and a clean glove-to-hand transfer, before getting off throws up to 71. At the plate, It’s a loose left-handed swing with a sound mechanical foundation. He works short to the baseball and was able to elevate the ball at times, working up to 81 off the tee. Plenty of upside, and he is a guy to follow in the 2022 class.
