Wilson Michel’s strength has shown on both sides of the ball and he flashed that again on Monday with the second best fastball velocity and exit velocity. Michel put together one of the best rounds of BP as he was looking to lift the ball throughout. Right-handed hitter with some projectable power at 5-foot-11, 155-pounds and put up an 86.4mph exit velocity with the top average distance of 232ft. Arm works in the outfield where he was up to 82mph and also on the mound where he topped out at 81.1mph. Also flashed a good changeup with feel for the pitch. A 2024 from Oshawa who’s been on the scene for some time now and will continue to garner attention going forward.

a 5 foot-10 155 pound OF/RHP for the Oshawa Legionaires had a quality day at the Future Game Frenzy. In the outfield the arm was loose with some carry behind it, had good actions approaching the ball with good momentum towards the ball. At the plate Michel had one of the more impressive rounds. The swing was loaded with some loud barrels to the pull side. Had good extension on his swing, didn't get cheated and showed his power potential on a rainy day. On the mound Michel worked down hill with good drive off the back leg. Everything was compact with an easy delivery out of the hand. Interesting name out of the 2024 class that continues to make strides.

2024 Wilson Michel was one of the underclassmen to make his presence known on Sunday. Michel is still just 5-foot-10, 140-pounds so there’s lots of room for him to grow and develop. The bat stood out from the right-side with a lot of barrels and some power to the pull side. His exit velocity of 84 mph was second best among 2023s or younger while his line drive percentage of 75 % was tops on the day. A lot to work with from Michel and it will be interesting to see where his game is at when next year’s Scout Day rolls around.
